I have tested on my 1.5T HDD with 2 different partitions: One NTFS, the other is Fat32. The Oppo 83 recognized the Fat32 partition just fine.
Now, the difficult question here is how to fit the movies into the AVCHD folder. It's not like I can rip over 700gb of movies all in one go. So I will need to work on:
2nd method
Authormovie a first, and then drag the mpl files from the authored AVCHD and movie b to AVCHD using MutliAvchd. The mpl files are in AVCHD\BDMV\PLAYLIST.You only need the file with the “00” at the beginning of the name. Do not add the file that has “014” at the beginning of the name because it is the menu and it will cause error to the program.

djaddy,
I think may be I misunderstand you.First, I need to ask you why you want to put all movies into one AVCHD folder. The ways I’ve showed you are optional, and (for me) those ways are for the series like Mummy and Matrix. What you can do is putting each movie into their AVCHD folders.Let me show you what I did:
Inside my HDD O:\
O:/ENG/ Movie1/AVCHD
/Movie2/AVCHD
...
/CHI/Movie1/AVCHD
/Movie2/AVCHD
...
...
(This layout will work on OPPO 83, but it may not work on PS3 or another BD-players.)

PKNY hing,
The AVCHD files worked great on the Oppo 83. However, when it comes to playback on the HTPC with PowerDVD 9, there is lag between switching from one 4Gb file to the next. Is there any settings I can perform on PowerDVD to reduce the lag?
Thx!
