I am thinking of getting the LS50 and have your exact same problems, don't want to do 7.1 either. I am more concerned about music than movie performance. The sales recommended 3005 and I think their look does match very well with LS50. I may just buy a full 5.1 set and see if I can make use of the extra pair of front speakers or sell them.

Which amp are you using to drive the LS50?

i like LS50 as the speaker is KEF 50th product, and its appearance
i have done many research for its surround and centre speaker and sub. ~besides....try it match with different AMP too
as i like music only marantz is my choice (Arcam is nice too but over budget already)
so Marantz 7005 is still my first choice

for surround~i decide to buy OS3 as it appearance and i tried its 360 surround and i m quite satisfy with its performance~
i guess once you buy a 5.1 system u will very fast to upgrade haha~~!!
