Does your HDD have any partitions? Mine has one NTFS & another with Fat32. Seems like the Oppo 83 doesn't like my HDD with 2 partitions, it says "USB Error" on the LCD display.

I've used three different external HDDs plus one docking station without any problem.  All my HDDs are 3.5in and have 1 partition.

what brand is your docking station? i have to get a new one for my oppo83

It is a cheap cheap brand.  I think it is called Kingwin Ez-dock. It costed me $10 USD.

This is what I am using. I tested it on my PS3, still can't find any files on the HDD.

djaddy.. 試吓唔用嗰docking用cable kit去試下...可能係你個docking有太多reader...PS3 load 唔倒
