Seems like the dealer isn't trying any effort to rectify the issue.
As far as i can tell from your update, if they really care, they'd have already arranged exchange by delivery.....
On the other hand, sorry to be frank, I agree with another c Ching saying anw hing u are being too nice to them, which makes the issue even harder to solve..... U r doing whatever the dealer is asking u to do as per their request, that alrdy makes them feel they are being the boss but not u!
With their attitude like that, I think better not to waste time and should contact headquarter directly. U see, this issue has already wasted u so much time, which could be used to do things that are more meaningful to u n your family....But seems like u care about the dealers face more than your own right as a consumer.....
U being nice to them = being cruel to yourself!
