Changing the plug should correct both fault indications.
The only response I received from Belkin was to return it to my supplier. Not particularly impressed, but as I was going to cut the plug off in any case to hard wire the unit into my dedicated AV supply, it seemed churlish to pursue it any further with them.
It's working fine now that it's wired up correctly.

我都有留意外國呢個thread，無深究，不過應該只係某一小批PF40先有呢個瑕疵，其他如PF30同50冇問題。

One easy check if you have a meter is, with the unit fully disconnected from the mains see if you get a circuit between the neutral pin on the plug and a neutral socket whole on the rear. If you dont but do get one between live and neutral I would suggest the unit has the incorrectly wired plug
