I'm impressed by how misinformed you are about everything, truly impressed:
Red: That goes to show you don't exactly know how CD readers work. Why don't you spend some time to figure that out and we can have this discussion again?
Blue: You are right and you are right. Theoretically, you are right. But in reality, you got to really look into what these transport makers are doing.
Green: This is the best BS I have seen in a while... It again goes to show that you don't know anything about CDs and how they work -- they deteriorate over time no matter what you do! And in case you haven't noticed, MTBF (mean time between failures) for modern hard drives is north of 600,000 hours... By the way, has anyone told you that you can make unlimited number of copies of the files without losing any information? It's something that you can never do with CDs... It's simply impossible to make perfect replicas of CDs.
Like I pointed out earlier, if you want to be anal about everything, the only perfect media is 24-bit/192KHz master files in digital format, nothing comes even close.
