The answer to your question actually depends on your budget:-

1.  If you do not have a high definition AV Amp, you should not spend more than HK$1,000 on the media player.  In this case, Himedia 300B is really the most sensible choice.  Cheap and cheerful.  One box design with internal 3.5" harddisk drawer, you cannot go wrong with this choice.

2.  If you do own a high definition AV Amp, you obviously expect a higher grade player so that it can bitstreaming DTS-MA and Dolby TrueHD singal.  My recommendations are HD Vision N3, Popcornhours 200 or Allure M3.  However, because of its high definition audio capability, the selling prices for these machines are all well over HK$2,000.

300B是否功能会多過300A？還是一样的？

都係用realtek1073, 功能上我諗無分別. 300A用 2.5" HD; 300B 用 3.5" HD. 300B既GUI就跟500B, 同300A唔同.

As you own a high definition AV Amp, you obviously expect a higher grade player so that it can bitstreaming DTS-MA and Dolby TrueHD singal.  My recommendations are:-

HD Vision N3
Popcornhours 200
Allure M3
HDX-BD1

These are all good players and I am using the N3 right now.

Couple of points:-

1.  Aigo is using the Sigma 8655 chip (whereas the ones I previously quoted use Sigma 8642/3).  The Sigma 8642 solution is much comprehensive than that of Sigma 8655. The Sigma 8642 chip offers superior picture/sound quality and better response rate.

In terms of the technical data, Sigma 8642 is more "powerful" than Sigma 8655.  Sigma 8642 contains a 667mhz CPU, a 333mhz IPU (image processing unit), 2X HD video decoding, and three 333mhz Audio DSPs.  The Sigma 8655 uses a 500mhz CPU, a 333mhz IPU, 1.25x HD video decoding, and one 333mhz Audio DSP.


2.  Aigo does not support internal 3.5" harddisk.  From the practical perspective, this is very important to me (being a very particular person).  The internal drawer solution presented by N3, M3 and C200 is so neat and convenient and saves you one wall plug and one hanging USB cable.


3.  Aigo is selling at around HK$1,200 to HK$1,300 in Hong Kong.  Whether you can really get one for under HK$1,000 in Hong Kong or Taobo remains to be seen.


4.  I am not sure if Aigo can support Blu-ray rom.  N3 does.  

All in all, Aigo itself is a very cost-effective player. I was once tempted to buy one as well.  However, for some inexplicable reasons, the Aigo proves to be very difficult to get hold of in Hong Kong.  Even Aigo's official dealers in Hong Kong do not have much stock this little player.  That really prompts me to think why there are so few Sigma 8655 players in the market.  Why companies like HD Vision, Popcornhour and Allure opt for the more expensive Sigma 8642 solution instead of going for the cheaper Sigma 8655 alternative?  Conspiracy theory tells me that there must be something you and I do not know.

Personally, I have not tested the Aigo before but I have heard good review (mostly from Post76) about this nifty player.  If it can perform up to say 90% of what those Sigma 8642 player can deliver, I would certainly be tempted to buy one as well.

之前部TviX 6500講功能真係贏晒所有大陸機
穩定性亦一流
亦係最先support HD audio bit-stream同BDMV嘅Media Player
如果佢唔係一路都唔suppor無縫播放同Full BD menu with BD Java
我真係諗唔到咩理由要換部Popcorn Hour C200
所以even係比一般大陸機貴, 但都有佢嘅巿場

可惜去到6600, 好用唔用走去用Realteak芯片
價格比一般Realterk芯片嘅Media Player貴
而公能上又唔係特別特出
我真係好希望Divco會出返Sigma芯片嘅機
