我都身痕入0左部 300B.



本身個bt client好慢. 換0左另一個client之後, d速度正常返. 不過, 都係雞. 有時會無反應.

d人crack 0左個firmware, 加0左ftp server.

依家好似屋企多0左部弱雞linux server咁. 希望遲d網上出多d application.

大陸機, 個GUI好簡單, 一d都唔靚仔. 而且, 唔多唔少有dd奇怪bug. 開頭set好0左光纖輸出, play flac出光纖無聲, 睇戲又有聲. 要reboot一次咁play flac先有聲. remote反應都幾快, 係個接收角度都幾窄.

Dear C-Hing,

I agree with most of your comment.  Despite its relatively minor shortcomings, I vote it as one of the best media players under HK$1,000.

First of all, it supports the playback of Blu-ray ISO and hidden PGS (i.e. subtitles that are embedded in the Blu-ray ISO files).  This is an important feature and even expensive Korean players like TVIX do not have this function.  Further Himedia also features a internally 3.5" disk drawer so that the disk can be stored neatly.  Its "screwless" design is again much more convenient than the Korean competitors (which require a special "handler" in the case of 6600 for example) . Just slide in the disk, plug in the power cable and the HDMI cable and you will get picture and sound.

The firmware is not that bad either.  It supports "down-mixing" so that you can still listen to AC3 or DTS encoded moives through your two channel TV speaker (in the case you do not have an AV Amp at all).  Another neat design is the document management function in that you can connect another external SATA disk to the player through a powered SATA socket.  The biggest benefit of such a socket is that you can copy/delete/move files between the internal disk and the external disk.  You do not need to turn on your computor to do such a chore.  

Other convenient features of the Himedia include:
- Automatic 24p detection
- Automatic subtitle encoding detection (so that no "monsters" will appear when viewing PRC movies with simplified Chinese subtitle); and
- Subtitle font type, size, colour and position selection.

Obviously, the most important "omission" of the Himedia 300B is the DTS-MA and Dolby TrueHD bitstreaming support.  However, you cannot realistically expect a sub-HK$1,000 player will support HD Audio.  In a netshell, I reckon the Himedia 300B has already scored very high in terms of functionality and value in this price category.  If you do not have a HD AV Amp at the moment, I sincerely do not see any other better media player than the Himedia 300B within this price range.

呢部係我第一部media player, 0係play media方面, 我咩都唔識. 暫時都無咩問題.
個3.5" harddisk tray真係好方便. 八舊水, 有部media player, 有部簡單既NAS. 我覺得唔錯.

Thanks very much for your compliment.  As a matter of fact, I "owned and tested" a few media players before and I just want to share in this forum my joy and (even more so) frustration in playing with these gadgets:-

-  Western Digital WDTV
-  Noontech
-  HDX-1000
-  HiMedia 300A

At the moment, I only keep HiMedia 300B and HD Vision N3 as my primary players.  Even though N3 is 3 times more expensive than the 300B, N3 loses to 300B in terms of some functionalities.  A case in point will be the automatic 24p detection which is a standard feature for 300B.  However, in terms of picture quality, N3 wins 300B by quite a big margin.  Again, for HK$800, you cannot complain.

Please remember to upgrade the firmware of 300B.  The latest firmware version is
1.0.1.24.  The improvements are as follows:-

1  增加音频高级设置，为AC3,DTS,AAC,WMA单独设置音频输出模式
2  支持双路字幕同时显示，同时支持两条文本字幕（仅限于外挂文本字幕）
3  图像调整增加LCD过扫描选项
4  支持播放列表。（红色键选择和取消，绿色完成添加， 仅对内置格式化硬盘支持）
5  添加方向键多种复用设置，  可以选择  播放进度控制  和 字幕调整。
6  播放拖动进度条菜单，增加 上/下键  5秒步进控制
7  在视频播放时按返回键等效于停止。
8  如果加载蓝光目录播放失败，则自动打开蓝光目录。
9  Setup的BD/DVD下增加Bluray目錄自動播放选项，
10 增加日语和韩语的支持
11 屏蔽service shutting down的提示
12 安全关机模式下， Power键按两次进行关机
13 解决部分情况由于U盘问题，安装BT不成功的问题
14 解决youtube不能播放的问题 (由于国内防火墙的缘故，**用户，还是不能访问youtube)
15 修改恢复默认设置需要输入密码的问题。
16 不存在电视模块时，不允许自动校时。
17 修改快进播放时，选时后，快进不消失的问题。
18 延长录制时间的间隔改为15分钟的步进(关-30-45-60-75-90-105-120-150-180-210-240)
19 新增网络共享方式—自动搜寻NFS和samba的共享目录。(试用功能）
