This is a very rare pomotion item for the 5 PSB reissues... wish I had it although I have all the 6 reissued 2CD albums.

多謝你的熱情回應，關於PSB的大碟與細碟的介紹，我只寫到Nightlife時期，大概是因為之後的PSB作品，我沒有像之前那樣在follow，大概就只是出一張買一張，但是聽歌的熱情在消退。

我是從80年代開始大量聽歐美的pop music，特別喜歡聽dance music，但基本上我比較傾向聽single，特別是remix，收集大碟的興趣反而不大。有些artist的作品，我只買single，但是大碟反而不買。例如：Paula Abdul，她在1989年有4 No. 1 Hit Singles，但是大碟Forever Your Girl(1988)我沒有買，裡面的單曲Straight Up、Forever Your Girl、Cold Hearted、Opposites Attract、The Way That You Love Me每一張都有12" Single(With remixes)，另外，Japan 4 tracks CD single也有Knocked Out的remix，1990的remix album、title是Shut Up And Dance是一發行就買了。Paula Abdul在出唱片之前，曾經為Janet Jackson編舞(choreograph)，What Have You Done For Me Lately、Nasty的Music Video都是她的編舞作品。

而我是從West End Girls開始才喜歡PSB，而大概是從Actually(1987)的單曲It's a Sin開始收集他們的single，但他們的大碟是買了卻不常聽，主要還是在聽single，CD或是12"都有。但是從Release(2002)開始，聽音樂的感覺開始消失，而且這張PSB的作品與他們以往的Dance music風格差很多，整張大碟大概只喜歡CD 2的Home And Dry(Blank & Jones Remix)。你應該可以發現，我沒有Release時期的Single，除了London以外，因為我買的是US Limited Edition，有一張Bonus disc，差不多將Single的B side都收進去了，另外還包括Remix。Release(2002)的US Limited Edition有四種顏色的cover，我手上的是藍色的。前面提到Paula Abdul的Shut Up and Dance，當年推出的US Long Box也是有四種顏色，我貼的Janet Jackson的Long Box照片，你應該可以看到最左邊那張就是，當年我選擇紫色，記得當年推出時還有綠色、黃色以及紅色，但是打開來的CD Cover卻是紅色字體。

PopArt與Ultimate都是Greatest Hit，好像沒什麼好介紹的；Fundamental與Yes我都是買日版的2CD版本，但是買來聽的次數也不太多。我現在聽歌的感覺與熱情已經不如80與90年代，比較會拿出來聽的也是這兩個年代為主，所以，三年前搬家時，2000年後買的CD大概有90%被我丟了，90年代的大概也丟了至少50%。

PSB在2000年後與其他人合作的，幫Lady Gaga做的remix，我有一個MP3版本(歌名不記得了)，幫Madonna做remix的Sorry，我有US CD single。Madonna的歌95%以上都是Dance music，我從80年代開始一直買到現在，大概有幾十張CD Single，大碟也全部都有(Madonna的Like A Prayer大碟的Long Box很特別，特別的地方要用聞的，因為打開紙盒拿出CD時，會聞到香味，那個Long Box放CD的地方現在還可以聞到香味)。至於你提到的Girls Aloud還有Morten Harket，老實說，我不知道這些artist是誰？

照片中的那張Minimal(2006)，是US Promo CD Single，那是一張CDr，但不是home made CDr，上面有華納音樂的Rhino Records的label，是official版本with 11 tracks。相關資料，我想你可以在Discogs.com查到。

Hi Ivan ~ 看過你的文章也發現你跟我大慨都是那些年.......代的樂迷.
曾經有人說過. 十多歲的時候聽的音樂就是追隨你一生的音樂. 你永遠也不會忘記的.........
相信這裡很多人都跟你和我一樣. 是不是80's的音樂特別出色. 還是以後的音樂也比不過來.
我想~這個應該是自已的時代的問題..
  你問我~現在的流行音樂裡面. 真係沒有那個可以給我以前那種驚喜的感覺了.
還記得以前讀書的時候, 買張一張黑膠碟回家聽那種喜悅. 那種滿足感. 看著膠碟轉動.
對每張黑膠碟 (每首歌) 的那種珍惜. 真係完全跟玩在年代的人聽音樂的心態完全不同.
  時代轉變了. 對音樂的態度也不同了. 現在的音樂好像是虛無的. 只需按一個"下載"
便可以瞬間得到一支曲. 雖然是簡單直接也很環保. 但我仍是喜歡以前聽音樂的模式.
對於我來說才是最珍貴的.

Yes, agreed your insight too

In those 70s to 80s , technolgy is not as advance as now with high resolution digital recording (DDD), playback format (FLAC lossless computer file), and convenience (cd ripping to mp3, one ipod classic carries nearly40000 songs to go), musician were more focus on creativity (even the musical instruments were so raw and natural than electronic / computer-based)

People are not as rich as nowadays, so people are cherishing everything in depth, for example, we may not afford to buy all music we want, so we listen to radio and perhaps simply recording the radio program, the song we like may combine with DJ talk or commercial, those are sweet memories too

Those good old date, vinyl with nice cover art, poster, lyrics, and extra photo sleeve

Music is an enjoyment from buying, listening, storing, and sharing

but now....really hard to find new songs or album justified to buy or even listening

Especially I hate new artists keep repeat covering old songs, what the good reason to hear the their re-re-re-interpretation???

if new artist sings old songs in concert or tv program is okay, but definitely not the whole new album with old covered songs!!!
(except those experienced artist or successful singer is another reasonable excuse to do so)

我想，我們都經歷過唱片業的輝煌時期，至少是在發行與銷售上的輝煌時期，當時到店面看新唱片是一種享受，尤其是像台灣曾經有的Tower Records，香港的HMV我也曾在90年代後期在九龍、中環以及銅鑼灣的三家分店買了不少CD，旺角的信和中心也是；90年代日本新宿的Tower與HMV更是龐大，Virgin Megastore也很great，當時也曾去過位於紐約Broadway St.的Tower Records，店面更是大到不可思議(分別在同一條街兩側的兩棟樓，各有至少三層樓的面積)。如今的唱片業大幅萎縮，發行量與種類與以往相比，可說是少得可憐，到類似的店面大概只能看特別版本的blu ray，已經沒有什麼唱片是值得專程到店面看實體版本，要看不同版本的CD或黑膠還不如在家裡看，以往的收藏大概都比店面擺出來的要有看頭。現在已經很少有single，更不要說有12"、7"以及CD single，唱片業全勝時期，US單曲還有區分為12"版本與7"版本，兩種都有黑膠、卡帶以及CD，也就是說可能會有6種版本，歐洲更是一張單曲發行至少兩種以上不同remix的版本(Pet Shop Boys和Janet Jackson應該是最好的例子)。

I remember I have been to new york HMV , london picadally tower records and virgin megastore, las vegas virgin megastore in casino janet jackson era, canada before HMV took over SamTheRecordsMan,  A&A records on yonge street toronto, of course those tower records near space needle in Seattle , bevelery hill LA...,  sometimes planning a leisure trip is depending if the country or city has records store to visit to be decided, like a records shopping tour (in the past there are no internet shopping, international mail order services like now, you really need to search and carry very heavy vinyl home)

Those vinyl era in 70’s TOWER RECORDS in usa are very huge seperating classic and pop into two section or store

Really visting music store always has surprise and excitement, especially tower records always has special sales on some long weekend, it take time to queue up to checkout goods with bags of yellow goodness...

But now....

UK emi gone to universal, so many creative records label such as MCA, BMG ariola;  A&M, island, casablanca are gone under universal music, so same as HK free TV really has no choice...

Seem HMV hong kong shall be gone soon ... Let’s see

Can the sound quality of MP3 and iTunes downloads beat the digital audio sound of a CD? I don't really think so. It is sacrificing sound quality for convenience. I can't really accept the MP3 sound quality on my Marrantz CD/MP3 player. The CD sound is unbeatable and MP3 is flat.

Well, as mentioned if you look for high quality music track file, niwadays you may go to website to buy high definition music file such as FLAC lossless studio grade file (claimed)

As you see i bought so many real CD, so Iam not the kind of person to switch to buyinh music on internet or apple store, because I like the real thing of CD, see, touch,feel, and experiencing the cd fet old or even damaged, lost such progress

But what I worry, it seems those meaningful reissue are almost done, no more deluxe edition of good music to be produced, so our life seem ending, as tower records slogan NO MUSIC NO LIFE...
