i think a good speakers play very important role in a hi-fi set.and, i (200%) agree that changing amp is easier (to get approval from master at home - if u are amrried, u will understand what i mean) than changing speakers. also, an amp to match your speakers is another area of concern.but this is what the fun and challenge of hi-fi.
