Sorry I don't really listen to the music genres you mentioned but I believe they should work well, some mentioned for a more v-shape response, if that is your thing, the JH16 will be even better but I have never heard them myself.
The 13 to me are very neutral with the gear I use, with good extension at both ends with good detail retrieval and soundstage, but not bass heavy so basshead might need to double check.

there isn't much concrete information available, but at head fi, couple of users meet Jerry Harvey and JH verbally confirmed there will be one, you might want to search for info on new flagship JH model online.{:8_387:}
