Sorry I don't really listen to the music genres you mentioned but I believe they should work well, some mentioned for a more v-shape response, if that is your thing, the JH16 will be even better but I have never heard them myself.

The 13 to me are very neutral with the gear I use, with good extension at both ends with good detail retrieval and soundstage, but not bass heavy so basshead might need to double check.

Can you please tell us more about the new flagship? I recently ordered the JH16 and might consider to put it on hold if the flagship will be launched soon.

there isn't much concrete information available, but at head fi, couple of users meet Jerry Harvey and JH verbally confirmed there will be one, you might want to search for info on new flagship JH model online.

Thanks C hing. Lets see if they are willing to give more information regarding the new flagship. Can't imagine how furthermore it can take a step up from the 13/16
