interesting to note too much base from a bookshelf ... which is not bad indeed ... your source seems a bit complicated than what is needed for 2-channel ... rca cables, dac may help ...
I also focus inls50 speaker. I think is not that worstbecause ls50 can show very detailsound more than x3 times expansivebookshelf speaker. I have try in isquare with same cdplay and int. amp. So if u like the ls50 is very worth to have.

Old model last year sold at around 13K. Then comes the new Toy Tower.
i have try Chario Sonnet with same source and int. amp. maybe made this clear not all win Chario Sonnet but in some part like detail of sound are win Sonnet. So i think in this price range LS50 did his work.
just personal opinion.

我買ELAC 244BE之前試過LS50，佢比我感覺係好AV喇叭FELL.
有人話佢底頻好勁，相反我覺得唔多足夠!
聽兩聲度效果吸引唔到我!我係KEF SHOWROOM試都係咁，
ELAC 244好唔好我唔知，但我算滿意。
KEF LS50好唔好我唔敢講，但我就好唔鍾意!
不過咁多人鍾意佢，應該有佢既原因，音響既野好個人，我唔鍾意亦唔代表佢唔好既!
