本帖最後由 shektau6 於 2012-1-2 01:26 編輯I recently bite the bullet and bought a Spyder3 Express to calibrate my brand new plasma, although the set has not been fully run-in, i can't wait to play with it during the quiet holiday period.Surprisingly, the THX setting is quite good out of the box, I guess it's the premium you pay for getting the ST series.Most C-hing here has the Spyder3TV but I couldn't find it in HK so i settle for the express, it appears the colorimeter is different from the Spyder3TV (which is supposedly the same with elite/pro one)
I use the free software colorHCFR and follow the steps in GREYSCALE & COLOUR CALIBRATION FOR DUMMIES.
Here's the pre-calibration result:

As you can see, delta E are not close to magic under 3 values

For gamma, i have to do fine detail adjustment

As for Primary / Secondary color, the set is almost spot on and require no change
delta E all very low
It's late so i will try to post some pictures of the set..bluray HD discs look great

Yes, but i doubt the setting will work for all though. Once the unit gets to 150-200 hrs of viewing time, i will try to do a 10 point gray scale rather than using 2 points.The panasonic also offers 10 pts gamma but I am not sure how to calibrate gamma using colorimeter step by step...

No ISF mode for ST30 unfortunately, I *think* you can still do the 2 points gray scale adjustment but no gamma adjustment for ST series though.. anyway well done!

Thx!I am surprised how well the the unit calibrates albeit the colorimeter is only an amateur one. The skin tone looks very natural, and dark shadow detail is very good, especially when viewing men in dark suit, you can even see very detail and how well tailor the suit is..I don't regret buying this to replace my 5 years old Pioneer (436).However, the only drawback with the Panny is the VGA/Computer output.If I stream video directly from PC (either using VGA or HDMI), it doesn't look as well as the Pioneer one.Now that I am using Oppo-93, i seldomly needs to play video directly from my PC anymore..The only problem is that Oppo-93 doesn't support lip-sync delay
