Did you get your SpyderTV in HK? if so, do you mind telling me how much and where to buy?For some mkv file like some Japanese music show recently (Music station year end special, i experience lip sync problem..)
Do try now calibration on your ST30 and share your result with us.
My SpyderTV bought in US from Amazon.
But I saw it DCfever shop before.
I use 93 play BD/BD3D iso in most case.
So have not experience lip sync problem.
I install ColorHCFR on my Win 7 64bit
When I start it, it prompt me hardware detection error.
I am busy this week and will try to fix it next week.

HCFR detect唔到spyder3, 但我己經係datacolor內copy "spyder3.dll"入HCFR個folder內! 又上網 .......原來spyder3個driver太新又唔得, 由3.1.5 downgrade to 3.0.4啦! 又係唔得! ........己經3點am! 好想瞓, 但係又想搞埋去, 最後都俾我搞掂左, 原來要copy 3個 dll files去3個 directory內!
copy the files:
C: \ Program Files \ ColorHCFR \ Pilote_USB \CGamma.dll
C: \ Program Files \ ColorHCFR \Spyder3.dll
C: \ WINDOWS \ system32 \ CSensor.dll)
remember要reboot window and unplug and plug the spyder3 b4 u launch HCFR!!!!!!!!!

refers to netmans reply above, you can download v3.0.4 directly from datacolor website (it's the elite version but it will works as you just need the dll file)

well done ching, another user certifying the importance of calibration. If you don't mind spending a bit of money, considering Chromapure calibration software, it is a wonderful step by step software which you should find even more intuitive than HCFR. Your results were quite fantastic consider you are not using any outboard video processor.{:1_351:}

Yeah, the result was better than i expected and i didn't spend a whole of time with it as well (< 2 hrs excluding hardware setup).Initially i was worried about using Spyder3 Express as I have read online that the units vary a lot in terms of accuracy as they are not calibrated at the factory.The free software are not that bad, once you gone through the workflow once, the second time around is easy.i read the comparison on tools at http://www.hometheaterhifi.com/diy/813-diy-calibration-overview.html?start=3 and the feature and workflow on chromapure is quite impressive indeed.

Yes I have been using it since I purchased it as a bundle along with a iScan Duo video processor.Since then Chromapure has released an automated module and it is truly fantastically convenient calibrating displays.
Anyway I have used SpyerTV, HCFR, Datacolor ColorFacts Professional, CALMAN and Chromapure, the last one is the most intuitive and easiest software to obtain good calibration (depends on what control you have on your TV), and I would certainly recommend it.
