Yes do consider it if you are getting into calibration and have more than 1 display to calibrate, a faster tool saves a lot of guessing work and time.

Nice! it's unfortunate that although my display has ISFcc inteface, not many software out there is available to use it. Even CalMan doesn't have one for APAC model yet (only EU and US).I think one day the display manufacturer will come bundle with software and colorimeter and allow you to automated the calibration process. It should be straight forward once there is a common interface and provide a strong selling points for display.

Hi shektau6, to be honest if you were to calibrate your display from scratch, which is what we do with calibration, THX and isf really means very little since we calibrate to a reference gamut like Rec. 709, not theirs, and evaluate our accuracy using one of the error delta methods like CIE94.
Working with Panasonic, CALMAN already has limited automated calibration product like you mentioned:

About there is no APAC model, why if no one is doing it, no one will make it I guess. {:1_260:}
Alternatively, if you have an outboard video processor like iScan Duo or the Lumingen brand, automated calibration is already being done! I can tell you the Chromapure/iScan Duo automated calibration works like a dream for those of us who used to spend 4 - 5 hours on a display, not to mention thumb blisters and watery eyes. {:1_351:}

as for the Panny VT30, i would not hesitate to recommend this set to everyone although i have not seen the Kuro side by side for comparison.I heard of good review for Samsung but I just could not convince myself to buy Samsung product yet...

See my #4 post for my setting, however, each set is different so i wouldn't use it as reference, ideally u might want to wait until after at least 150 hrs of viewing time before doing calibration.any questions please ask!

After 200 hrs on the set I ran the calibration again and found a slight variation..
Still not bad and making the adjustment is now much quicker now after you have gain some experience..
Still very respectable numbers..
BTW, do c-hings use APL chart or full screen for calibration? (I use APL)

Plasma TV must use APL window patterns.
I use full screen patterns because mine are LCD TV & projector.

Hi,
I'm using TH-P50VT30H too, but I can't find the Professional 1 and Professional 2, only find 4 modes, including THX.
How to enable the Professional 1 and Professional 2 mode ?
Thanks
