1. what are differences between US / UK plugs ?
2. For safety, does the UK plug having fuse mean it is safer than US plug ? if not, in what way can US plug provide the same (or better) electric shock protection (or other protection provided by UK plugs) ?
3. is it illegal to use US plugs in HK ? or using US power bar and power cord is okay and only the wall socket has to be UK style?
i am using UK plug monstor power bar with 8 sockets (model forgot) and socket for amp is claimed to be without filter ... but seen a few US power bar and seems most of them do not have socket special for amp or CDP ... ?

Actually, if you have car you will know, in HK, you can't park your car on public road if it is not:
1. in front of red light
2. in parking place
However, you still see lot of cars parking on street which is neither 1 nor 2. What's the point of "legal" or "illegal" from HKSAR's eye? I really don't know how to answer if someone ask me.
US plug is still safe because most hi-fi appliance has fuse (so far all the gears that I've owned does have, except China brand tube amps). So I believe that it terms of safety, you don't have to worry.
so u mean US / UK plugs have little differences ?

Same grade such as the famous red color MK, compare with general US pluig such as Hubbel, very little difference.
But US plug have many brands, coating, treatments, materials, if you are not real high fever, you can ignore all those after market US plugs, use whatever you like and feel convenience, if you are high fever, you can't get rid iof US plug since thay have lot of choices and funs.
1. Physically, they are different,
2. US plug allows thicker wire to be mounted compare with UK plug
3. Wires inside US plug are all straight, some wires inside UK plug needs to be bended
4. The "L" and "N" of US plug is opposite to that of UK plug.
