    hi there, i got a Denon AVR2809 and it does not allow the subwoofer distance over 6.5m. Therefore,it will not work on 2.71 x front speakers distance. Any good suggestions?

Hi C Hing, what's your subwoofer's actually distance?

just measure your real sub's distance and simply add 12 feet, then you can try to roll the phase knob now!

剛才試用呢個方法調教 PHASE,
去到大約 110 度既時候係會最細聲, 咁係咪岩呢？
還是係要佢最大聲(最清楚) 但無咁多 WOWO 聲？

樓主應該係用緊方法2, 但樓主都好似無講佢有將 MAIN SPEAKER +/- 調轉,
咁係咪即是都係 SET 錯？

Method A (easier, but less accurate)  After you have placed the sub where you want it, put YOUR HEAD equidistant between the sub and the speaker it is CLOSEST TO (for example the LEFT FRONT). Disconnect the 'other' front speaker. Play the 80 Hz tone and adjust the PHASE CONTROL of the sub and the POLARITY SWITCH until the bass is loudest and cleanest - in other words, the peak.

    sorry for the late reply. the actual distance is around 5m.....adding 12 ft is already 8.36m...

sorry, i don't know how to adjust the sub distance at your situation, may be you should trust your autoset la.
