1) AMP: Pioneer LX 83
2) Projector: JVC X3 - Natural mode + Clear Motion
3) Klipsch Front & Center speakers + Yamaha back surround speakers.
4) Film: Batman The Dark Knight - US version

OPPO 93 has a very clean picture and detail in color expression.

Pioneer BDP - 09FD

09F has a clear, but compare to OPPO93, it is just close to OPPO93, but not as good as 93.   i wonder if OPPO 95 will be very good in picture detail.   But of cuz, this Pioneer BDP - 09FD has been out for at least 3 yrs, so it is not fair to him.

OPPO93 - it is very clear the power is not there. the detail is not as good as the Pioneer Elite. of cuz the price is so BIG difference.

Pioneer BDP - 09FD - it is very clear this 09F has power to push all channels to all speakers.  You can hear the detail-ness from the BD.

Conclusion:  
it is a simple personal taste testing.   it cannot be compare to professional testing.
But I am pretty happy with the result of these 2 machines.
i guess i might have to upgrade the HDMI cables and power cable to push it to another level.

Are u using HDMI bitstream out or 6/7 channel analog out from the players to LX83 ? If using HDMI out, u won't be utilizing the Wolfson D/A chip on the 09.

I did not hook it up that way. But if u have an extra HDMI cable, why not hook it up n compare, then let us know the difference.

I am using a LX-72 too n I believe the HDMI switching inside such hi-end unit should not downgrade the video quality.

i dont know if this can work...
i can use other HDMI cable to plug HDMI2, but how to set up in the LX 83?  
it only can select 1 option...BD/DVD/etc...

maybe i have to plug in the video direct to the JVC X3, then the audio goes to LX 83.
