I can't get it to bit stream with the amplifier. (unable to see DTS HD on amp display) What seems to be the issue? is it a setting with the BDP or the amp.
please check the setting of your BDP 430 first because the default setting of the video output is LPCM instead of bitstream. If you need to decode those DVD,BD by your av amp, you should chanage the output of bd player from LPCM to Bitstream. After you chanage this setting, you will find that display of av amp showing DD, DTS, DD-HD, DTS-HD etc.
after you've switched your BDP to bitstream, you can switch the setting of your av amp to play back the sound with following mode listed below
1) Auto surround - this is a simple way to play back the original sound of your source (eg.DD, DTS, DD HD & DTS-HD).
2) Advance - This is a mode for "adding" special effect to the source by different DSP modes.
3) THX - Similar to senario 2 and it should be much "professional" to play back the sound in high quality.
no, the display in Yamaha is a bit different than before. i'm using 1900 and when it is DD/ DTS, u can see it on scressn as e.g. DTS-Master Audio. However, i saw my friend is using 3067, even it select bitstream from the BD player, it won't display on screen. But u can check it by pressing the button "info", then u can know it. Hoping this can help.
