Sorry for not replying messages yesterday, I tried to use my smartphone and after finished a large piece of reply, turned out to be an error from not uploading the reply, so I copied it into some kind of wordpad app and now here this is~

Lately I have asked a friend to test what sort of problems is my system and setup is occuring, and resulting is a lack of bass output at king seat.

After testing with various cables and powercords, we deduced that it's not a matter of cables nor interconnects.
We even tried removing the carpet between speakers and sofa, even worse.
We did not try replacing speakers cables though.
Our estimation thus left on to a lack of decent cdp/cdt.

I am really not happy with the bass performance now, and i am sure that cm7 should perform better.

Ok, I did test yesterday night again.
Took off the existing cm7 spikes and replaced with some kind of official plastic ball onto the speakers base, no difference.
I walked around the living room and find out a couple of positions have given much more powerful base than the king seat
I moved around the cm7 into various positions, still...
So I am wondering:
1. either the room layout is giving a hard time to the bass output, and listening music at the sofa area (it's at the centre of the living room) does not create a good bass environment.
2. I will also try move away the sofa later and see if the sofa is causing any troubles to the bass.

Would be grateful to have all c hings opinions too.

Atoll Dac is good and has many good comments but not with its USB decode, it would be much better to have a pure music player with it.
You may try Marantz NA7004, Logitech transporter, Linn DS...to use them to connect to the Atoll DAC

If you dont mind, i can bring my Linn majik to figure out what the problem is

At the time we used the bluray 05 to test with cds
We didnt use notebook.
Actually the dac is only run-in with 2-30 hrs, could be still new...i dont know.

Sure that would be grateful n much appreciated to test with ur lovely linn.
Just now i moved my sofa and tried with a dining chair, not hugh differences in terms of bass sound, so i think sofa is not a problem for now.
Br hing, r u interested coming tmr?
