Brian,
Your choice is not complicated though.
However, fr my own point of view, the QC and follow up services provided by the factory in the US only are the major concerns.
1. The QC is not very good. You can check it out in Post 76.
2. In case of any problems, what you can do is as follows.
a. Send the machine back to the factory in USA to get it fixed but you have to pay the freight rate for both journeys( Go and Back).
b. Talk to the guys and wait for the parts and instructions from the factory. It's not a very good practice 'cause we don't know how to find out the problems.
So I advise you to try another brand of 5 channel amp like Parasound 5250 (New Classic Series) and enjoy the follow up services provided by the distributor in HK.
i m totally agree with yr point of view as these is what i am concerning to after reading the posts from other ching here..by the way who is the dealer of Parasound or which department store is selling with this item? thanks.
