For me (taste and entry level), I think 1020 is good enough and detail-oriented.   the sound is little thin and not too powerful when u perform a/b test and directly compare with demon/onkyo. But I like it.

I didnt take onkyo 608 because the sound is 實but 盟 while pioneer 1020 is quite clear in music

    For the audio return, pioneer didn't support. U may simple buy a optical cable to connect the audio output from tv and input to he amp
I bought a $55 cheap cheap optical cable only

Thanks Ching,

as i am now thinking of 1911 and 1020.......some people said 1911 is the best for movie.....some people said in the other way........make me crazy.....

But personally....I like the outlook of 1020 (haha....it doesn't related to the performance.....)

It's very nature to look at the outlook first as I am......haha
The look of demon is so old I think . pioneer is so cyber....haha
But more importantly u need to try yourself and get one fit you

我都買咗Panasonic 46V20，我部TV掛牆安裝
安裝師傅話一般機底離地24~28吋
我個TV櫃高20吋，最後離櫃裝高4吋(即係24吋)，櫃面有D空間擺野
而家睇落個高度都幾舒服
(PS. 睇過Pioneer個安裝說明，建議眼的水平在 TV的1/2 至1/3 之間)

the height of my TV cabinet is 19.5". And my Diamond 10.CS height 7.9".......so total height is around 28"........I might need to install the TV with it's bottom at 29"..........

Hi Ching.....ya.......and actually, I don't really know what ARC function is for.

I saw that post too.........if it's price drop to a point that makes me give up the 1020......I will go for it for sure....:)
