so busy these day as really bad experience occurs.
to be short, i returned the matt to dealer and got back money. What they quoted to me HKD3600 is pure matt 2 and not pure matt 2 plus. Anyway, it is not much different btw these two matt according to OS hong kong.... I still accepted the deal to get a pure matt 2.
What really bad is they delivered a WG107 which is a discontinued model to me !
I doubled checked with OS hong Kong and told them the specification. They said i am being cheated....as the blackdrop is less than 15inch !
I returned the matt to dealer and got back money. They asked me to add back few hundred so they will give me the true pure matt 2 plus. But i really lose the confident and i just want my money back
I bought from another shop in MK at HKD4200 for pure matt 2 plus <model number A1-080-WF202 matt>. OS Hong called me and will make the delivery to me tmr.... < this is really true i finally know>
After long dicussion with OS hong, below info is got from OS hong kong.
Pure matt 2 plus - start with model number A1 , for 80" matt the blackdrop is 640 and can get the spec from web. The tension system is for slightly improvement on the matt wrinkle.
Pure matt 2 - start with the model number AM, for 80" matt the blackdrop is 640 as well. Both matt use similar matt materials, same dimension as "plus" but plus is better in contrast but human eyes won't notice that.
Hong suggested me to buy pure matt 2 if money is concern.
Old model AM-080B is discontinued, blackdrop is 15" around and different matt materials. Brand new sell at $1700 as i checked in MK ytd.
Really disappointed being fooled .... as i dun really concern if they earn me few hundred more than market price but it really cost my time!
quite sad ... originally want to set up the gear on sat ... finally have to go watching movie in cinema...
I asked the same to OS hong kong. He said the matt materials for plus is just slightly different. "normal eyes' won't notice it except use machine to test ... i really surprised
i asked if the tension system on "plus" is good or not .. he said ... for small wrinkle it is normal and even without tension system, u won't notice any image effect on projection as the WF201/202 matt material is designed for better diffusion even with wrinkle.... for large wrinkle on the matt, the tension system won't help.
anyway, the price different btw pure matt 2 and plus is just 600-800HKD ....

as i dun really concern if they earn me few hundred more than market price but it really cost my time!
