    Do you mean not to connect shielding on both end or one end. When I bought cable, the shopper told me to connect shield on one end from socket. And leave it open on the other end connecting to equipment.

    Yes, not to connect both end, normally shielding will not connect on both end, only connect on socket side. may be you can leave the shielding not to connect to earth rather then completely cut it off for comparison, then you can select connect it or not.
