front high speakers

Do front high speakers need to be the same line and the front and centre speakers?
I have a vokal 2 and ikon 8, but the ikon 1 seems to big to be the front high and does not look good
any recommendation?

Thanks for the info, so if it shares with the centre speaker, would i need to get the ikon 1 so that they sound the same?

same brand sure will increase the continuity~
for the front height, as it's mainly for sound effect, i prefer smaller in size & response frequency around 100-20kHz is enough~

Yes, I hope front high wont make too much a difference.
Because the Ikon 1 is quite big to put on front wall and ruins the look of the living room.
Would prefer to use lektor 1 which is small, will this be ok?

I have bought a pair of Lektor 1 to use as Front High for my Onkyo 707, I put it at a height of 1.8m but just above the Front speaker, so don't know if the setting of Onkyo is the same as Yamaha? Just feel the effect is small when watching movie, but much better when listen to music.

My case, I will choose the direct output of my Amp (just for front speaker) when listen the CD/music. It can hear the most of original sound quality of my equipments(This is base on the nature of your Amp).
When I watch the movie. I was tried it compare with PS(presence speaker) and without PS before. With PS, the environment sound is quite wide and more details, the effect of movement is outstanding. Without PS, the environment is became weak and flat, the effect of movement is smaller.
By the way, my PS is fix directly above of my front speaker too, coz I haven't space to set up like as the suggestion drawings. Thanks read.
