Samsung BD-UP5000 Plays HD-DVD and Blu-Ray Discs for $775
Samsung's BD-UP5000 Duo HD Player supports both Blu-ray and HD-DVDformats their interactive technologies, HDi and BD-Java. With the useof HQV video processing power and 1080p Full HD video output, theplayer is capable of state of the art video performance from bothcurrent DVDs and next generation HD-DVD and Blu-ray Discs. The playerwill support Dolby TrueHD via on-board decoding and bitstream output,and is expected to support DTS-HD Master Audio and High ResolutionAudio via bitstream output and an on-board decoder as well (thoughon-board decoding may require a firmware upgrade after the initiallaunch).
