I have try MK X12 at show room also. I went there to get the X12 to replace my MK MX250 , but I gave up finally.


MK X12 Compare with my MK MX250 and Velodyne SPL-1200 :
punch MX250 win
20-30Hz Velodyne SPL-1200 not quite good but win
平均性 MK X12 win

only In my opinion ( Feeling between my small living room vs 200 Square Feet show room may be error )  punch is not the tendency of the nowadays MK sub's design anymore.

If I can only place one Sub, I will go for X12 between 3 of them.
But I am lucky , I can place 2 sub

My config : MK MX250 (dual 12") + Velodyne SPL-1200 (Single 12")


Pros :
1, Eliminate room mode , you can easy find out when you pause the movie while a large volume of bass are providing. 用1隻 sub仔, standing wave left behind pause button around 1/3 sec. , 用兩隻 sub仔. the bass clear shut up align with the video pause.
2, 我又要打心口又要深潛， 魚與熊掌, 雙 sub. is a way out. (當然有其他選擇但價錢一定高 eg. JL G213 )

Cons :
1, 嘥位
2, 難set ,其實吾難，(可能我兩隻sub仔都只有phase 同High cut,冇得玩EQ)
   我個Setting 方法 :
   Step 1 用Rew 輸入客廳長闊高，得出相對於皇帝位的最平均頻率響應的sub仔擺放位置及擺放方向 (特別提醒唔係放中間一定好)
   Step 2 用手机app 藍牙輸出80Hz比Amp, 用支咪響皇帝位度聲,調較每隻sub仔volume(每隻sub仔要分開做)調到相等於前置喇叭的輸出音壓(咁樣取得之後所需嘅數據就會最明顯,唔差值最低)， 然後前置同sub仔一齊播住80Hz ，睇住支咪個接收電平去調sub仔個phase， 以至接收到最高的電平為正確phase(每隻sub仔要分開做,熄一隻做另外果隻).
邏輯係前置同十仔要同步 唔會一個推一個拉 抵消咗音壓， 所以取得最高電平就係同步， 即係最靚的phase,
之後部AV amp行翻次 autocal.

（聆聽環境的長闊高比例影響sub仔擺放位置好大，千其唔好見到朋友放中間好聲就跟放中間， 人哋同一model sub仔 back fire好聲就照跟， 因為低頻波長直徑可達1.5米，人哋的2.25米背垟距離同你個3米， 可以全部野剛剛相反 包括擺位,相位phase setting, 駐波standing wave...., 因為差左剛剛半個波,就算背垟 距離相同 天花高d矮d，駐波情況也可完全不同.)所以一定要為自己個聆聽環境去調.

點解選80Hz去做test因為80Hz係我個cut out frequency,係前置同sub仔嘅overlap位, 最有機會因為phase不同步 一個推一個拉而互相抵消音壓.

By the way 我AV amp輸出前置係用pre out 去後級推前置speaker, 所以播80Hz行2.1熄前置声，淨出sub仔声去度volume比較簡單.
