《犬之島》講述了一個發生在未來的故事。由於狗的數量激增，加上犬流感的蔓延，日本某地市長頒布了一個法令，設立“垃圾島”，把所有犬之都放逐到這個島上。一個日本男孩為了尋找他的愛犬，決定登上“垃圾島”，展開他的尋犬之旅.....
