Glen Campbell was more than just a successful singer....he was a great guitar player too.  He was one of the top studio guitar players in the 60s, playing for artists such as Elvis, Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, the Beach Boys, etc.  He influenced later studio guitar players like Steve Lukather (of Toto).

Glen Campbell's passing is not unexpected.  Alzheimer's Disease is a terrible disease.  My mother has it now.

Yes, he was a great guitarist. Alice cooper said that Glen Campbell played rock very well too, though he was very successful in country music.
