hello bbbaba, I ordered 1M X-Series RCA Cable (male to male) from Emotiva during my order.  Those cables were good quality.
As for HDMI, I am using only Wireworld Silver Starlight 2M.

bbbaba 兄, I am also looking for a AV 前級 (currently I am using Onkyo NR-905). I am thinking about "Emotiva UMC-1 AV前級 (not XLR output) or Onkyo PR-SC886 AV前級 (with XLR output)".  What is your suggestion?

marvin hing, why don't try Denon amp, it matches with S150 perfectly.

magkids hing.....denon AV Pre-amp?  I am using Emotiva AV Power Amp, therefore it should be good to get a Pre-amp.  I believe "Pre-Amp + Power-Amp" is better than "Integrated Amp".
Please kindly correct me if I am wrong.

marvintai 兄, at the time that I bought my XPA-5 , they haven't launch the IC yet.  So I am waiting my next purchase of Pre-Amp or Processor to add that on to save bank remittance charges.  Glad to know you have positive views on the RCAs. Any further description on those RCAs, are they adding favor, or pure direct ones? Any comparison to popular ones in HK?
BTY,  I don't know what should be better to add, a processor UMC-1 or the cheaper pre-amp USP-1.  Do you mind giving your opinion? Thanks a lot. (I am using an Onkyo 706 only)

I have separate gears for 2 channel music (Mod Squad Line Drive +Spetral DMA-50 + Thiel CS1.2 + Sony CDP X5000) although I seldom use them now. Can't find your previous post regarding your gears.  It is generaly trule that separate gears for AV and Movies is better (correct me if I am wrong). For movie, UMC is matched to your xpa-5. Some said on Emotiva forum that UMC-1 is good for music too. If you don't have separate gears for music, the UMC-1 may be a good try.

BTW, do you know the exact Cirrus chip used in UMC-1? Some said CS497004 and some said CS42518.  If I am correct in remembering, the CS42518 is also used in Marantz AV amp- which is the reason for good music? The CS49704 is used in Cary AV pre-amp. I only concern with Movie sound as I have separate gears for music.

買了USP-1+XPA-5,過年前已到貨,主要是用來聽歌.另外我有 ONKYO AV amp 876. 買這前后級的原因是用來聽歌,而且USP-1有bypass掣,可以連接876,睇戲更方面.

Emotiva provided various small colored rubber band which you can use for seperating those X-Series RCA cables (such as Red Band for FL, Green Band for RL...etc).
I have not had a chance to A/B test the other RCA IC (such as canare and wireworld Equinox). It will be nice to have this test.... ;-)
Anyway, I really want to have a full balance AV setup in the near future.
Just same as my 2 channels...full balance....
