After talking to so many end users n people in this industry, Oppo 203 is still the best bet if you can afford it. For people using those lower end media player(under $1000) , i can understand the big price difference with Oppo. For people planning to buy those Dune, Popcorn etc. , I don't understand why, when Oppo had already showed you how well they can handle most type of files, n the price is not that far apart.
Plus, both the video n audio quality of Oppo are so far ahead of those products.

師兄！您別誤會了，並不是Q5pro或其他品牌的安卓新機不好；只不過是小弟比較喜愛Popcorn(SIGMA)在撥放影片時的畫面表現，也就是說比較有菲林感；而且C 200有完整選單可使用，若是您只看BD影片的話；A410還是可以陪您渡過新款機型上市的這段時間！
小弟目前也正在等待(SIGMA)支援度更佳更完整的機型上市，能不能看串流...小弟不在乎。對了OPPO 4K新機小弟正在關注中。以上

I totally agree at present for quality and price/performance ratio, Oppo is unrivaled, and the 203 at USD499 is a steal.  

As an Oppo 105 user, I think the reason why some of us are looking for a media player is probably for reasons, like playing ISOs and convenience.  As far as I know Oppo cannot play ISO unless you hack the firmware, which may or may not appeal to some users including myself.  

I wanted a media player to play ISOs mainly for kids at home, so they can easily play the movie they want and not touching my 105

Right now I am looking for a replacement.  The Popcorn VTEN I bought secondhand is an outright disappointment.  It can't even play some DVD ISOs probably and have so far ruined 2 USB drives of mine.  I am not sure if there is something wrong with it but I have updated to latest firmware and reset the machine a few times.  The worst thing is even shutting down the VTEN, the attached USB drive is still on.  With this I am not confident to get Popcorn again, which I actually heard many good comments, but so far I've been left very very disappointed.

Noted your comment n understand your application, especially if it is in 2 different location of your place. On the AVSforum, a guy is very happy with his Himedia Q10 Pro performance with his Epson TW8300 projector, which is what I had. That's why right now I am tempting to go with Q5 Pro(same as 10 but without the HDD docking) now or wait for the Oppo, which won't be here before Chinese New Year(just checked with dealer).

The Q5 Pro is less than HK1K right?  In that case the wait will be very tough :)

For PJ use, I will go for the Oppo for sure, I have a video processor so I can connect all the sources and switch them either to TV or my projector.

Just notice Taobao has a sale on this on 11/11. Will get one just to stop the 4k itch for now.
