In my DX-900. i do not observe any dead or bright point on it.
In my attached capture, there are some 1080P youtube, the movie is smooth , I also play some bluray (My bluray player is pioneer LX88) , i also find the movie is smooth in play.
the first capture of 1080P youtube ( it is with a black background ), you can see it there are no bloom on its corner, so i do not find leakage of blacklight in it
In my advice, i will turn off all post-processing setting in TV menu, i find that most of them will affect the smooth of the picture. Moreover, i find that there are some recommended setting in some other forum . i think that it can be as reference only, i think it is better to calibrate TV by yourself with some software (such as HCFR or calman ...) ... it is because TV has less chance to be identical. Just in my case , My TV setting is totally difference to other two calibrations which is shown in other forum .. Maybe , i use different software to calibrate my TV
