i don't think so ....may be use av amp to biamp will be better , but if u want real high perfomance , add power amp was the only choice . i used b&w "old" cdm series before , it was hard to push , i finally used a 300w to push to get the real perfomance , but it still a little slow than other band speaker, but the music and cd was amazing . i think the "new"cdm series will be a lot easier to push and can suit for av and music both .series 8 was for some advance user who wants really good perfomance on cd .
