方便？ 要用另一個PC /mac software 去 Scan 先可以 indexing, 絕對唔方便，市場上亦無人甘做。Man301 直接 read NAS 做 indexing, 或者 linn 咁用 Nas 內既 media server, 最平既 logitech 都有 squeezebox server 一個制scan files.

We use steamer and nas for the purpose to get rid of PC operations. Now every time there is change in the songs / files it needs another PC to do. Sorry, it is very bad design.

From the beginning aurender 經Lan攞電腦內啲file聽是可以的。問題是Folder list，不是Index有整體artwork, artist/album etc.

aurender has unique way of handling the index from external NAS. This has pros and cons like all systems. Any music server will not be as powerful as current computers in the market. So using a computer to perform index, will be much much faster.

It will not interrupt your music enjoyment and Aurender does not require a computer while you are playing music. The operation only is required when you need to do indexing. At the end you still need a computer to purchase highres files from hdtracks.com and move those files to any music server. Weiss MAN301 is planning for a direct online purchase and download the target NAS, however this creates other "situation" which why Weiss MAN301 requires password for each account.

Many aurender users know aurender accepts ISO and will bounce/extract the ISO back to DSD dsf format. And everyone who tried that will know how long it could need when you have 100 ISO in the HDD. It will takes 24/7 "DAYS to WEEK" to perform this task.

Being able to pull this operation to modern computer (AMM advanced settings allow you to use how many computer cores particular do this index task) will speed up the job.

For future development this is a smart move IMHO.

If you use X100L, S10, W20 or N100S (internal SSD) there is no requirement to have AMM.
AMM only target for external NAS.

But I do think most customers will face a problem of losing artwork because Aurender final decision is....

if the album(music files) has no embedded artwork, it will scan any front/cover.jpg. If the file name doesn't fit, it has no artwork. For this reason we are creating an Automator script to do batch conversion from any JPG within the music folder to front.jpg, so that AMM can index those perfectly.

Hi DWS,

Just upgrade the S10 to nearest version, many artwork (Disc cover) can't show on the apps, feel very sad!

Do you have any idea to fix it.

Hello Victorwk1628,

No need to feel sad. Your jpegs are still store within the music folder.

It is just aurender using a new procedure to detect artwork.

1. Check jpeg or png files which name is front, cover or folder.
2. If there is no files, check embedded file.
3. If there is no embedded cover, do not show cover.

Quick fix will be search your Aurender HDD with a computer, rename all *.jpeg to front.jpg or (if back = back.jpg). After you done this the index will go through and your album artworks will be back.

I will get an Automator script to do this batch conversion soon, but I'll need sometimes.
