Most focus for me on 2015: SE 5-way Ultimate Custom IEM's
Already owned SE-5way for around 2 years. The resolutions, clean strong bass is a legend for me till now as only 5 armature drivers can reproduce such incredible sound. I am always keep on eye on that company hope launch any new product....Finally SE-5way ultimate release for which the size smaller and quality improved again...I email to Grzegorz and he reply as below:
As far as differences between 5-way Ref and 5-way Ult, since we receive similar inquiries I will allow myself to quote the reply:
In a nutshell the main differences between 5-way Ultimate and 5-way Reference are as follows:
5-way Ult is a tad brighter and even closer to neutrality than 5-way Ref (percentage is very small, though, as 5-way Ref is almost in the same ballpark already). They are a bit clearer and even more linear at mids, with even more SPL and extension at the highest registers and a bit more extended soundstage. Thus, overall resolution is also improved somewhat.
Bass remains basically the same as well as the chameleon qualities where monitors adapt and can change layers and sound signature according to recordings.
Another thing to note is internal design improvements and that 5-way Ult should be more compatible with ear anatomy of people with smaller ear size (more so than 5-way Ref, but to a degree obviously).
Do any ching ordered already?...Interested to know and excited on it
