Daphile (Linux with Logitech Media Server)

經過一輪資料搜集, 上個星買咗平嘢Teac ud 501, 部MD10就送比親友用。我唔玩線材,只係用普通線。不過teac d聲真係好好, 試過用我部HDX1000, Win7 with teac player , mpd on debian, Synology ds audio 和 Daphile 嚟播歌。Daphile (eeepc 900)係最正的, 有興趣就不防一試。

This is my setting:
Synology 713+ > Daphile > USB > teac ud501 > Marantz sr5005 > Monitor Audion M4

係啊!我睇咗好多外國 forum, d 老外都讚, 個project holder 仲成日响d forum 收集意見, 然後update, 都幾密吓。 最正係setup 超簡單, 下載個iso然後用工具抄去usb手指, 再將部x86用這集手指boot起就用得! 佢仲係real time kernel 和有64bit version.

Sam ching,
I also use Synology 212j with Daphile, but I cannot connect to 212j, can you tell me step by step on how the setting of storage point to NAS? any password  (default= admin)? Many thanks.

Hi CAS2012,
I used nfs to connect between DS713+ and Daphile. For the synology, you need to first enable the nfs function of the synology and then enable the nfs right for the shared folders (e.g.Music) that stored the music and DSD files under the shared folder option manual.

For the Daphile, then click "add new" under the "Network drives" option at the setting manual of Daphile. Choose nfs and input the path of the drive/Music folder under your ds212j. My sample: 192.168.1.199:/volume2/music
Then save and restart the Daphile and you could choose the drive under Audio Player manual.

BTW, Daphile should support LMS so I would install the package under synology tonight and try to access my music file using  LMS Andriod app. And I will test the app whether it could control Daphile to play DSD file.

I hope it could help you.

P.S. I used 5.0  beta firmware for my DS713+

I try to run in new mac mini .

Try plug in LAN cable the first time.
After it shows "ready for connection", go to another PC, type "http://daphile" in browser. For Mac/iphone/ipad, type "http://daphile.local" in browser.
Then the admin page shows, change the setting to use wifi, then reboot and unplug the LAN cable.
