"Human Nature" is very 正 actually, good for breakdancing but "Take A Bow" is perhaps ideal for slow dance"...

Soul II Soul's "Back To Life" 12" is also super 正, from their 2nd album., very hot club track, back in the 80s/90s.

Yes, i agree HUMAN NATURE album version is good enough,
but the remix single are so annoying to me, that why i dont buy all cd single thereafer, some mixes are good but not all, sometime listening to remix is okay, but on disco dancefloor the feeling is totally different feeling and experience, sometime the remix is boring or even sound stupid on dance floor

For example, SECRET factory mix is good, so i buy it , on the dancefloor feeling is cool, and the junior vasquez signature beat really sound like art of noise that kind of factory feel

It is good to buy CD singles if they have good bonus B-sides or some great remixes which are better than the album track. In most of Madonna's albums, the album tracks are satisfactory enough.

As for Madonna, there are not many, I am afraid:

1. "Jump" single, with one B-side bonus track not on "Confessions On A Dancefloor" album and one extended album version which I think quite good to have. The single also has 3 other remixes, worth the price.

2. "What If Feels Like For A Girl" single which has some very good remixes as featured in her MTV video of the song, and that version is so electronic and a lot better than the album version.

3. "Who's That Girl" single, as the 12" extended version is simply and more beat-heavy.

4. "Rain" single. As it has the MTV video version of the song, it is different from the original album version as it is a more "chill- out" version.. This video version will remind me of the music video at the same time.

5. "Celebration" single. The Benny Benassi Remixes of the track is very worth having, danceable and very cool.

6. "This Used To Be My Playground" single. The instrumental version of the song is worth it.

7.  Any more???? Sorry,  I can't really can't think of any others really.

Madonna(1995－2001)

Something To Remember(1995)大碟是Ballads Collection，我只買了美版CD。至於照片左上方那個是台版附贈的Booklet，當時是報社的朋友給我一張台版CD，因為我已經買了美版CD，所以我只保留Booklet，然後將台版CD送人。Madonna的作品，通常我只買Dance Remix Single，所以這張大碟我其實很少拿出來聽，除非是失眠。

這張大碟當時仍然有3首歌發行Single，我只買了One More Chance，因為裡面有You'll See的Spanish Version以及Spanglish Version，但是也很少聽，因為都不是舞曲。前一陣子download了You'll See的Junior Vasquez Tunnel Anthem，仍然是Junior Vasquez一貫的Jungle舞曲風格，讓我有機會多聽幾次這首歌，可惜這個版本沒有發行Single。

Love Don't Live Here Anymore其實是Like A Virgin(1984)中的歌曲，Something To Remember(1995)中的版本有Remix，另外CD Single則有Soulpower的Remix版本。我其實算是喜歡Soulpower為Rozalla(You Never Love The Same Way Twice)、Sting(Demolition Man)，以及Usher(U Got It Bad)做的remix，不過，這首歌我原本就不是很喜歡，Soulpower的remix雖然做的很不錯，但最後我還是沒有買。

老實說，Madonna的Vocal表現一直都不好，我有些朋友甚至說她根本不會唱歌。不過，對於dance music來說，vocal似乎不是很重要，只要不是荒腔走板就好，這大概也是我很少聽Something To Remember(1995)大碟的原因之一，因為Ballads對vocal的要求比較高。幸好，Madonna得到了一個很好的機會，她搶到了演出Evita(1996)的機會，她當時也為了這部電影，接受專家調教，而在這部電影之後，無論是大碟或是演唱會，她的vocal都比過去有大幅進步。這也就是她在1996年之前所發行Concert的相關VHS或是DVD我都沒有買的原因，因為我在80以及90年代看過她的Concert VHS，Virgin Tour(1985)、Who's That Girl: Live In Japan(1987)、 Blond Ambition Tour(1990)，以及Girlie Show(1993)我都看過，因為要又唱又跳，而且是激烈的舞蹈動作，她的vocal可以用horrible來形容，只有舞台表演維持一貫的高水準。

Evita(Soundtrack，1996)大碟，無論是2CD完整版或是單碟Highlight版我都沒有買，我對於這類musical的興趣沒有那麼大。不過，我買了兩張Single。You Must Love Me拿下了當年奧斯卡金像獎的最佳電影歌曲獎，這是Andrew Lloyd Webber與Tim Rice特別為Evita電影版寫的新歌，原來的musical版本是沒有這首歌的。我買的另外一張Single就是Don't Cry For Me Argentina，因為有Dance Remix，Pablo Flores(Gloria Estefan)的Remix做的相當好，La Isla Bonita應該找他重新再做一次remix。

第二、三張照片是Ray of Light(1998)大碟，以及其中的6首Single。這張應該是她所有的大碟中，最優秀的一張。90年代流行Alternative Rock，她不但跟上這股潮流，但仍然保有她的強烈個人風格，整張大碟相當耐聽，Single更是精彩。Frozen做為第一首單曲，銜接她以往的風格以及大碟的Alternative Rock的基調，讓她以往的fans可以快速接受整張大碟。Ray of Light更精彩，無論是Sasha、William Orbit或是Victor Calderone，remix version不但比之前的作品更加成熟，也添加了90年代也很流行的Trance、Techno等的元素，也顯示出Madonna永遠走在時代的尖端。我不但買了Ray of Light的US Maxi CD Single，另外又買了澳洲版的cardboard sleeve CD Single，兩張加起來正好將US 2X12" Single中的所有版本全部收齊，我到現在都不時會拿出這兩張CD Single出來聽。Drowned World/Substitute For Love由BT與Sasha做的remix，以及Sky Fits Heaven由Sasha與Victor Calderone分別做的remix仍然維持高水準，不過我不是很喜歡The Power Of Good-Bye的remix。

Nothing Really Matters的album version我原本就很喜歡，主要由Peter Rauhofer(Club 69)做的remix也很great，我另外還買了一張European CD single，因為裡面的Club 69 Mix Show與Vikram Remix是US Maxi CD Single沒有的。Nothing Really Matters也是今年才過世的Peter Rauhofer，與Madonna長期合作的開始，他為Madonna之後的不少Single做remix，而且大部份都很出色。前一陣子Peter Rauhofer過世的消息傳出時，網路上就有相當多他的remix mp3在流傳，我也趁機download了不少他的remix作品。

第四張照片是Music(2000)大碟以及其中3首歌的CD Single。老實說，從這張開始，我也感到有點疲乏、或說是bored。也許是因為當時工作已經變得忙碌，沒有太多時間、也沒有好心情聽歌。整張大碟一共10首歌，我大概只喜歡Don't Tell Me，Impressive Instant也不錯，其他的歌都沒有感覺。至於三首單曲，Music找了Hex Hector & Mac Quayle、Victor Calderone、Deep Dish、Tracy Young以及Groove Armada五組人馬來remix，在當時並不容易看到一首歌有那麼多組人在做remix，但可能因為歌曲本身就不出色，這麼多人的remix版本只讓我感到乏味，我還買了澳洲版的CD1＋CD2，兩張CD加起來差不多100分鐘。Don't Tell Me也是找了五組人馬做remix，但大概只有Thunderpuss' 2001 Hands In The Air Anthem我比較喜歡，其他的remix version也是感到boring。What It Feels Like For A Girl仍然又找了五組人馬remix，我只買了US CD Single，仍然不喜歡，不過一邊做事、一邊聽這張CD Singel的時候，並不會感覺厭煩。其實，這張大碟中的Impressive Instant有發行US 12" Promo Single，我很喜歡Peter Rauhofer's Universal Club Mix，另外前一陣子Peter Rauhofer過世時，也download了Peter Rauhofer's X Club Mix，兩個remix都是Electronic house，我也都很喜歡。

第四張照片的右邊從上到下，分別是Beautiful Stranger(電影Austin Powers - The Spy Who Shagged Me的插曲，1999)的European CD Single、American Pie(Madonna主演電影The Next Best Thing的插曲，2000)的日版CD Single、Madonna與Missy Elliott合作的Gap廣告歌Into The Hollywood Groove，以及Thunderpuss GHV2 Megamix的US Promo CD Single。Gap的這張Promo CD Single內容只有8分多鐘，其中Into The Hollywood Groove長度只有1:14，另外一首是長度7:07的Hollywood (Jacques Lu Cont's Thin White Duck Mix)。至於GHV2 Megamix，我明天再繼續介紹。

although I mentioned previously I am tired of early 80's Madonna sound, however this DISCO/DANCING DIVA really always keep changing herself with different newly-styled producer; so the outcome sometimes is unique somehow

Again I am not a DIEHARD fans of her, so I do selective to buy her stuff mostly in CD singles

Madonna(2001－2004)

在繼續介紹昨天提到的Thunderpuss GHV2 Megamix的US Promo CD Single之前，2001年Madonna發行了第二張精選輯GHV2(Greatest Hits Volume 2，2001)?。我同意香港朋友在前面的說法，這張Greatest Hits是廢柴(這應該是粵語說法吧!?)。GHV2同時還有GHV2 Remixed(The Best Of 1991-2001)的US Promo 2XCD，裡面有12 remixed singles，都是12" version，相對來說比較有收藏價值，只不過是promo item，所以大概只有在eBay可以買到，Amazon等網站是買不到的。但是，這張GHV2 Remixed(The Best Of 1991-2001)收錄的12 remixed singles，大概都可以在這些歌曲的CD Single中找到，除了What It Feels Like For A Girl(That Kid Chris Caligula 2001 Mix)以外。而我已經在前面提過，我不喜歡What It Feels Like For A Girl，所以我並沒有再去買這張GHV2 Remixed，而且What It Feels Like For A Girl至少還有George Best Saturday Night Mix、Sunday Morning Dub以及After Dark Extended Mix等12" version是沒有放在CD或是12" Single中，只有在US Promo CD Single中可以找到。

回頭來看Thunderpuss GHV2 Megamix的US Promo CD Single，這是GHV2相關產品中較有收藏價值的，因為這是Thunderpuss做的megamix。不過，這張US Promo CD Single的Cover雖然與GHV2(Greatest Hits Volume 2，2001)相同，但是裡面只有2個分別只有3:30與4:14的edit version，以及4:50的Original Version，也就是說都不是full version。而我當時在eBay買這張時，同時也收到一張應該是full version的CDr，長度12:39，與那3個short version比較後，我個人認為這個12:39的版本應該就是Thunderpuss GHV2 Megamix的Full Version。另外，GHV2同時還有一張Megamix的US Promo 12" Single，分別是Side A長度11:53的Tracy Young's Shake & Stir Club Mix，以及Side B長度8:18的Johnny Rocks & Mac Quayle Club Mix。而在這兩張Megamix的US Promo 12" Single的照片旁邊，則是Madonna與Missy Elliott合作的Gap廣告歌Into The Hollywood Groove的Promo CD Single的inner sleeve。

後面兩張照片是American Life(2003)大碟的US Limited Edition Box Set、3張US Maxi CD Single，再加上2002年底配合同名007電影Die Another Day發行的US Maxi CD Single。照片上可以看到American Life的CD Single有兩張，因為其中只有2 tracks的那一張有一個長度8:52的Die Another Day(Calderone & Quayle Afterlife Mix)，這個remix版本並沒有放在Die Another Day的US Maxi CD Single。另外，這張大碟在2004年還有發行Love Profusion的Single，我當時有買US Maxi CD Single，但是這幾天我卻找不到，不知道是否在三年前搬家時不小心被我丟了。

Music(2000)與American Life(2003)大碟大概是我最不喜歡的兩張Madonna大碟，連裡面的Single也不喜歡，買來之後聽的次數不多，也許當時實在太忙，或許日後有空再拿出來聽的時候，會比較喜歡。ernietse在前面提到，她早期的歌都是very catchy tune, melody and easy to like，這基本上是她所有作品在旋律上的特點，但在與不同的製作人合作之下，會出現不同風貌，而且是album version與remix version各走各的路線。不過，這兩張大碟我卻完全感受不到，反而只是感到bored，也許當時的心情不同。

Remixed & Revisited(2003)這張US EP CD裡面有American Life(2003)大碟4首單曲的新remix version，仍然是沒有什麼感覺。不過，裡面有與Missy Elliott合作的Gap廣告歌Into The Hollywood Groove長度3:45的The Passengerz Mix、與Britney Spears和Christina Aguilera在MTV合作的Like A Virgin / Hollywood Medley，以及Bedtime Stories(1994)大碟製作時沒有收錄的Your Honesty。比較有趣的是，Discogs.com的資料提到，Remixed & Revisited(2003)的US EP CD是一張HDCD，全球各地發行的版本只有美版是HDCD，但是我在這張大碟上找了半天都沒有找到HDCD的logo，不知道Discogs的資料正確性如何。

I still enjoy reading your reviews and discussion of Madonna's releases during her "Something To Remember" era. Your "介紹" is always very professional and It feels like reading Madonna's "discography book". I can always read your reviews over a cup of coffee .

I agree with you also, because 我都沒有買 , the new materials from the album are too "theatrical" for me. Unlike the PSB's three musicals/soundtracks (which are still very electronic and poppy, check out "Closer To Heaven" and "Most Incredible Thing", and very sentimental/orchestral as from "Battleship Potemkin"), the Evita soundtrack is just too theatrical for me.

On another note, Madonna's vocal is quite powerful and "正" actually on a more careful listening, as evident in her "Live To Tell", "This Used To Be My Playground", "Oh father", "I Want You", "You'll See" etc. . It is impressive really as a "pop dance" oriented artist like her can sing really quite well.

Didn't you buy the special 2CD edition of "Music"??? The bonus CD has bonus remixes of album tracks/B-sides. I also have the original standard CD album of "Music" which includes "American Pie" as a bonus track. The "Music" album is a quite a mellow and mid-tempo album but overall is still an enjoyable album as she ventured into a "countryside" electro-pop. However, I still find Above & Beyond 12" Club Mix of "What It Feels Like For A Girl" much improved and better compared to the original album version .

Thunderpuss is actually a member/producer of a Canadian synthpop duo called "Kon Kan" that made many great club tracks including "I Beg Your Pardon" back in the late 80s and he was in fact a DJ plus remixer.

Madonna(2005－2012)

在經過連續兩張大碟的失望後，Confessions On A Dance Floor(2005)大碟奇蹟似地讓我重新對Madonna恢復信心。不過，我只是認為整張大碟都很好聽，single的remix也做得不錯，但是整體感覺已經不比80與90年代，畢竟pop music聽了二、三十年，聽音樂的胃口也差不多飽了，不容易再有以往的感覺。不過，這張大碟的第一首單曲Hung Up使用了ABBA的Gimme Gimme Gimme(A Man After Midnight)的sample，融合了ABBA時期的Disco以及較現代的Electronic、House，復古又modern的舞曲風格，差不多也就是整張大碟的基調，的確讓我精神一振，至少耳目一新。這張大碟一共發行了4張Maix CD Single，第二首單曲Sorry更找來Pet Shop Boys做remix，連之後的The Confessions Tour也使用了PSB的remix。Get Together與Jump的remix也做的很好。這段時期的Madonna單曲，我就只有買US Maxi CD Single，另外最近一、兩年又在網路上download了一些沒有放在CD Single中的remix，例如Hung Up(Junior Vasquez Unreleased Mix)、Get Together(Peter Rauhofer Private Mix)，以及一些unofficial remix，一些promo only item就沒有興趣再去收藏。另外，第一張照片左下角是與Britney Spears合作的Me Against Music的US Maxi CD Single。

The Confessions Tour(2007)是我第一次買台版，買的是CD+DVD版本，其實我只想買DVD，但是沒有發行只有DVD的版本。而我沒有買歐、美的版本，主要原因是我希望可以將DVD放在PS3中，PS3可以upgrade到1080P，用HD投影機投射在120吋大螢幕上，畫質會比較好一些，我的PS3只能讀三區的DVD。我在前面提過，Madonna在演出Evita之後，Vocal進步很多，這張DVD就充分證明了這點。整場show相當精彩，買來後已經看過五、六次，未來仍然會再重覆觀賞。

Hard Candy(2008)找來Justin Timberlake、Timbaland、Neptunes等人參與製作，混合了R & B、House、Electronic還有一點Hip Hop的風格，仍然很討喜，整張大碟也很好聽。3張US Maxi CD Single也都很不錯，我個人最喜歡的是與Justin Timberlake合唱的4 Minutes，特別是Bob Sinclar Space Funk Remix以及Peter Rauhofer的remix。Peter Rauhofer的Remix只有Peter Saves Paris Mix放在US CD Single，我後來在網路上download到Peter Saves London以及Peter Saves New York。另外，Mile Away的US Maxi CD Single完全沒有Peter Rauhofer的Remix，我後來在網路上download到Miles Away的Peter Rauhofer Part 1 & 2，以及Junior's  Drama Intro Mix、Ralphie's Private Mix(Remixed by Ralphi Rosario)，這些都沒有放在CD Single。

Celebration(2009)是Madonna在華納的最後一張，同時也是Greatest Hits，我其實不需要買，因為裡面的歌全部都有了，兩首new tracks也有US Maxi CD Single。買這張大碟的美版，只是因為裡面的歌都有Digitally Remastered，而她在華納的大碟只有前三張有發行Digitally Remastered的版本。而那張美版DVD，我到現在都還沒有拆封，因為還沒有找到時間看她以前的music video。至於那兩首新歌Celebration與Revolver，其實都只是還好、不難聽而已，買CD Single有點變成例行公事，因為這是Madonna的歌。

Sticky & Sweet Tour(2010)是我第一次買她的concert blu ray，雖然仍然很精彩，不過整體來說，我認為還是The Confessions Tour比較好看。

MDNA(2012)是她離開華納後發行的第一張大碟，我的感覺是還不錯，還算好聽，其他的就說不上來。我現在通常是一邊做事一邊聽音樂，或是走在路上戴著耳機用iPod聽，都不是專心在聽音樂，所以只要聽得順耳就好。這張大碟應該至少有Give Me All Your Luvin'、Girl Gone Wild、Gang Bang、Turn Up The Radio、Masterpiece有remix version，Give Me All Your Luvin'以及Girl Gone Wild我大概各download了20個左右的club remix，也就是long version。對於radio version或者是dub我是完全沒有興趣。Gang Bang與Turn Up The Radio也大概各download了一打左右的remix，Masterpiece也有大概5、6個remix，另外Superstar以及Falling Free也有一些remix version。我大概只喜歡Gang Bang的remix；Girl Gone Wild也不錯，但是20個remix versions實在太多了，聽到後來也有點煩；Give Me All Your Luvin'則非常不耐聽，雖然我仍然download了大概20個左右的remix version。至於這些remix version，只有Girl Gone Wild有發行European Maxi CD Single，裡面只有8 remix tracks，雖然都是long version，而且我的iTune早就全部都有了，但是至少CD的聲音會比較好。

Madonna可以說是陪伴我超過30年的artist，雖然現在聽音樂已經不像以前，但是她以後若是再出新碟，我仍然會買。至於今年的MDNA Tour的Blu ray，我目前還沒有買，因為製作上應該是有問題，畫質不好。我目前只看過DVD版本，台版DVD一出片我就買了，但是發現與美版Blu ray有一樣的問題，那就是5.1聲道實際上只有3.0，所以我用2.0看完後，就把DVD給退了，當然也把錢拿回來了。我想等到英國版Blu ray降價後，再來買這張製作上有瑕疵的Blu ray。這張Blu ray的問題，官方說法差不多就充分說明了問題所在：Interscope Records would like to make consumers of Madonna's MDNA World Tour Blu-ray disc aware that the concert will be seen at its most optimal quality by properly adjusting the settings on your television to "Normal/Movie" mode rather than "Dynamic/Enhanced" mode.所以，官方說法暗示是我們的電視有問題，而不是製作有問題，所以我想等降價再來買。

至於我的Madonna收藏，也就到此為止，謝謝收看。
