"Batterstar Galactica" The Complete Series: Blu-Ray

I am a big fan of the newly imagined "Battlestar Galactica" TV series.  This blu ray set is a must buy for me.  This set contains all 4 season of the show plus the movie "The Razor".  Features tons of special features.  But unfortunately, it's super expensive.  Cost me more than HK$2,000 to buy it!  Eating tree skins for the next few months for sure!

The box set contains a Clyon doll.

No season 5 la.  The whole series has ended.  But a made-for-tv movie is coming this fall.  And it suppose explain the Cylon's plan for human race.  By the way, this is one of the best TV shows ever for the past decade or so.

The coming movie is "Batterstar Galactica : The Plan".
Even the whole Batterstar Galactica Series has ended, a prequel "Caprica" is work in progress~~ ha ha!!

Ron Moore said "Caprica", even though a prequel, is very different than "Batterstar Galactica".  For once, there won't be a whole lot of space battle in "Caprica".  And "Caprica" is more a family drama than science fiction.  As for the movie "The Plan", it's directed by Edward James Olmos (who played Admiral Adama in "BSG") and he said in San Deigo Comic Cons that the movie is supposed to tell you everything about Cylon's plan and that after you see it you will see the "BSG" series in a whole new light.

The UK box set design does seem to be better than the US version.  But season 1 and 2 of "BSG" Blu Ray are region locked.  Looks like the whole series box set would be too.

Oh! It's really bad news!
US version seems to be the only option now.
After review the comments on Amazon.com, those blu-ray discs are packaged in cardboard sleeves. That means the chances for those discs could get scratched is high.
So, I really don't want to get this stupid packing and relatively expensive version.

I understand your concern.  I am worry too.  But the picture and sound quality of the disc.....so eye popping!
