i would say you will find a semi automatic one much easier to use but you will be making a lot of noise during operation.
back to spinclean, yes it works very well. if you have a collection of a few hundred or more to clean, it can be very handy. i cleaned my ~600 collection in a few months (or maybe a year) without receiving complaint of noise from my tigress, apart from occupying the whole dinning table for one or two days because i changed all plastic inner and outer sleeves at the same time.

i bought mine from sham shui po, 欽州街 (adjacent to ap liu street) opposite cheung sha wan government offices.
i didn't check with others because i think they are very reasonable already. you will find 3 different sizes for LPs, the smallest fits single disc perfectly unless you have a slightly bigger cover, the slightly bigger can fit most 2LP easily, the biggest fits the huge cover.
i personally prefer the smallest size a lot as i like tight fit
they didn't do internet sale for hong kong at all. i have spent over 2 months chasing different dealers over the world and eventually they have someone selling this in hk after that. somewhere located in central but i cannot remember where.
