Onkyo av receiver/amp with bose acoustimass 10

Dear all ching,
I am new to the Hifi field.  Have to move to a new flat and consider to buy new set of hifi.  My wife want the Bose system but the whole system is very expensive.  So I am thinking to buy the bose acoustimass 10 and add one other brand amp.

any suggestion on the amp?

I want to play ipod or iphone on the amp, is Onkyo 515 or 616, 626 good?

I listen 70% music and 30% movie.

should be 626. However, AM 10 is suitable for movie, better than music.

many thanks ching, yes i heard bose is good in movie as well, but it's size and outlook is unbeatable.  But 626 does not have airplay, right?  is it alright to use the front usb to connect to ipod or iphone to play music?

Is yamaha amp good?  many thanks

You can......
1) 626 connect with router, then iPod or iPhone connect to router by wifi. Use the onkyo app to play music.

OR

2) use blue booth connect with 626 directly. Then use the onkyo app to play music.

Therefore, no need airplay function.

Onkyo 5-6 series models cannot drive Bose AM10 to satisfaction.  I recommend 828 if budget is allowed.  For movie purpose, Yamaha AV amp is also a good match with AM10.  For music, I do not recommend Bose AM10.
