I am thinking of getting the BOSE Lifestyle v25 or BOSE Acoustimass 15 and an AVR. The latter seems to have better subwoofer. Can anyone help with some questions:
1. The v25 says it supports dts and Digital 5.1 Does it mean it couldn't support other standards like DTS-HD, Dolby TrueHD?
2. If I get the BOSE Acoustimass 15 and a AVR, would it sound better than the v25?
3. I read that users of BOSE like yamaha AVR, would RX-V573 be a good match?
AM series offers more flexibilty for receiver. From my point of view,
1. Built-in decoder of V25 does not support DTS-HD and Dolby TrueHD.
2. It depends on your system setup.
3. 573 is too low for Bose AM series. 20xx at least.
I know it is your money, but seriously, BOSE is all hype, it sounds just as same as any other HTiB systems which cost 1/8 of the price BOSE is asking you to pay.
BOSE is an excellent marketing company, they make themselves look like a hi-end hi-fi manufacturer and average joes all bought into the hype.
