Not really, "bottoming" (拍邊) happens when the cone extension reached its physical limit. Most of the subwoofer should have limiter built in to avoid it reachs limit. If you hear 'fu fu' sound of your subwoofer and it is a sealed model. Please check if there is any air leakage of the closure and it needs servicing.
