Hi,

Personally, I prefer British made speakers than other speakers or maybe due to long living days in Scotland and impressed by the British sound very much.

ProAc is my first speakers that I like most and the model is D15 which is discontinued now.  Well,  D15 is the floorstanding type of 1sc.  I missed the ProAc sound very much and so I bought its younger brother namely Tablette Reference 8 Signature as substitution and use it in my bedroom as second system.

Its treble and female vocal is another temptation that you can't resist to.  It lets me very enjoyable in listening jazz and saxphone.  I dislike those speakers with much of bass as bass is not to listen but to feel it.  A high quality of floorstanding speakers should have quality bass for audience to feel and not to listen.  Perhaps, it's hard to understand but you have to listen some reference grade combo which is talking about $1m or above, then, you will have a basic understanding of what I referred to .  In fact,  the main function of bass is to complement the mid and the treble and bass is not the focus that you have to listen.  Our human ears can't listen so low frequency and high frequency.  We can feel it only.  If the mid or the mid-bass is not energetic enough, then, it should not be a pair of high-grade speakers.  

Besides, speakers choice is very important to match your listening area.  Most people likes having a pair of floorstanding speakers but they also ignores the power of the speakers after burn-in.  Normally,  a 5 inches bass unit suits to fill in the listening room of about 150 sq. feet.  Of course, there should be many other factors that matches the performance of the speakers such as the quality of power amp and as I pointed out before:  the source.  

Personally, I love the combination of NAP200 with ProAC D18 coz this is my previous combination even the speakers are slightly different.  The bass of the D18 from NAP200 is warm, lively, gentle and not fierce.  There is much bass extension from D18.  The bass is complement the mid completely. It lets me have a feeling of foot-tapping.

我地試過好多次hc茖5x, 都係冇好結果, 有時真係要講下配搭既。

    我都係咁諗，盡量不要出去試x2，不過部野既銀碼對小弟離講唔算小，就算沖動都唔會立即買，到時要債務重組就唔好啦，而腳架更加唔使諗住，老細實話。師兄，呀頭又唔會買cap, 下次應該到你毒發x2啦。
