I don't know how to explain this in theory point of view , however, play in memory is much better than play in disk because of the better performance and minimize the jitter . you have 2G ram is also okay to use this option but may slower your computer and results more "hang" computer symtoms .

我係買左JR17 FULL VERSION
都好穩定。。。不過RAM好緊要。。。我用緊8GRAM ...

仲考慮緊買唔買
因為真係有d慢及唔多穩定 (間中hang機)
我本身已經有8GB RAM
可能係有d野set錯左啦

而家最頭痕係每次播24/96
都會頭兩三秒出現 "sasa聲" 或 "lag幾下"

尼個應該係你個系統ram吾夠，你可以試下將prebuffer調高的。。。同埋個KS或者WASAPI個buffer都要調大的。。。比時間gejriver將filecopy入ram度

因爲24/96個file比較大

仍然解決唔到

問過 jriver 個邊
咁樣答我 ....
You either need to use exclusive output so we can change the hardware format or tell Media Center to mix to the shared output format in DSP Studio > Output Format

師兄有無第2隻DAC 或者用底板 Digital Audio 直出先, 可以用排除的方法慢慢試

揀左 Kernel streaming , 又可以正常播到 24/96
揀返 WASAPI , 只可以播 16/44
揀其他係無聲出

另外我透過JPLAY係JRIVER播歌
即使揀左  Kernel streaming 都係播唔到 24/96
會係咁出現D "沙沙聲" 及 "狂lag"

I have the same problem before. I set the Buffer in Jplay software to 64 sample, the "沙沙聲" 及 "狂lag" issues are solved. I'm using ASUS NB:WASAPI ->W4S DAC2-> Melody 88 to play Music via MC17.

I read some forum that the performance will be better when running Fidelizer, Tweak & Jplay together. The PC operation almost stopped only playing for Music enviroment.

I have compare with JPlay & no Jplay via MC17, the preformance is improved obviously. I'm still consider to pay for it (I just pay for MC17 yesterday) as the price is bit higher in EUR99.

Nice to hear some Ching playing Jplay here and share your experience.
