Thank you for your reply, I want use a cheap cheap netbook and sreaming the file from my PC@bedroom via usb to coaxial. As I have no room in my rack to place a new player.

Hmm... my suggestion is if you need to buy the notebook, then go for a proper one, e.g. Mac Book, then move all the songs to your notebook and play from it directly. Otherwise, go for a proper network player. In the 2nd hand market session, there was a Marantz network player, 4K, if you spent 2K+ on a low end net-book then you need to spent another 1K for your optical/coaxial output, then why not get a proper network player?
But anyway, my other suggestion is to make use of your existing equipment 1st, if you have an old PC @ home, then try to use it and see if you like it or not, then think about what else do you need before purchase anything.

That I don't necessarily agree...He already has a USB DAC, not much of a reason to get a network player.Might as well, like you said, modify an old PC and attach the DAC to it.

If you really want to spend $$$ on this and this is the sole purpose of that "cheap cheap notebook", you may want to consider this:

its smaller than a notebook and I "guess" it can produce a better quality than a cheap cheap notebook. Also, to me, most importantly, you can iPhone control it.

Understand that, but from cost perspective, if he buy a cheap cheap notebook, 2K+ and a good USB cable 1K+, which is around 4K already. Given he has already got an optical & coaxial cable, assume good/okay quality, should make use of it. But notebook + optical/coaxial interface, it could cost 3K+ already, not much from 4K. Unless Anthony would like to use the notebook for something else, otherwise, sound quality for this setup will not be better than a network player.
But anyway, my objective is always be "worth the spend", so, I actually don't really suggest Anthony to use the cheap NB to do this, may end up cost extra $$$ and trouble.
So, Logitech Squeeze box may do the job.
Anthony, Oh!!! Almost forget, you may check this out as well:

with this, you can connect your DAC25 to this via Optical cable, then setup your bedroom PC iTune play to this airport express. You can in turn use iPhone to remote control your room iTune. That should be the cheapest way to do that. {:6_142:}
