Just got one yesterday. Using Optical cable to AV Amp, the sound is almost identical as using DLNA on Onkyo to play songs.
After spending 20 minutes to install apps on the NAS and upgrading the chinese fonts on the Touch. The user interface is 10 times more friendly to use than the DLNA interface on ONKYO.
Now, it is time to save money and do more research on getting a DAC for the summer.

就咁,我有2個plan你話邊個out come 會比較好?(c/p) :
1. 先買有 digital in 既 CD player 後加 squeezebox
目標CDP: Marantz SA-15S2, Pearl Lite, Cambridge Audio 840c
pos: CD player 做 dac 一機兩味, SACD
2. 先買 cheap cd player, 後加DAC 同 squeezebox
目標CDP: Marantz 6003 之類
目標DAC: 未有, around 5-7k
pos: 起始成本較低, DAC upgrade 方便, CDP選擇較多

I am considering to buy the Squeezebox. Currently, I am using the Synology as the NAS. May I ask if any Ching has used Synology NAS with Squeezebox or it is better to pair Qnap with Squeezeox ?

I believe there is no difference
Now, I am using QNAP TS-219P+
I installed Squeezebox server in QNAP and
control Squeezebox Touch with iPad and iPhone
Synology also have these solution. You can install Squeezebox server in most brand NAS
