I've never heard the CA Minx before, but I did hear some good things about it on forums and reviews. But you can be assured that any of these options will sound better than a similarly priced BOSE system, so you are doing the right thing by looking at these packages.

One other advise I would give you is that when you audition, you might want to try these packages both with and without the included sub, so that you can hear what the satellite speakers is really capable of in terms of mid/high sound quality.

And unless you are stuck buying the sub as a 5.1 package or you like the looks of included sub, you can definitely do better buying a quality separate sub from manufacturers like SVS or Velodyne.

Definitely go audition and let us know how you get on.
