Floorstanders are NOT always better than Bookshelf speakers la. Depends on the room (floorstanders usually need more space to breath) as well as your tasted in sound.

Some people feel that more bass is always better even though the bass is booming and imbalanced. Other people prefer fast and tight bass. So make sure to get a demo of both before you decide.

Another thing to keep in mind is that sealed/front ported speakers are normally easier to positioned and therefore are likely more suitable for smaller area.
