買兩部 mtv 3000 時，3100D 重未出。
家人成日高清又錄，舊四台又錄。
為避免家庭暴力事件，只好買兩部 mtv3000。
後來更加多一部。每一個 channel 都由一部 mtv3000 負責。
聞說 mtv3000 的畫質還比 3100 好呢！
呢部好用丫~~暫時我都好滿意MTV 機頂盒
Frankly speaking, if you TV size is 32", the picture quality of the set top box does not matter that ...

but i saw some few hundred STB is really worse even on 24" TV........

Dear AV Milk,
Couple of points, we need to compare an apple with an apple:-
1. Does the 24" TV or the few hundred dollars worth of STB has HDMI input/output?
2. How do they connect together (through RGB Cable or simply yellow video cable)?
3. What is the setting of the STB (1080i or 720p output)?
4. What is the reception quality during the test?
5. Is the 24" TV properly set up for the test (e.g. accepts 1080i input and colour tone)?
6. More importantly, did you compare the few hundred dollars worth of STB with a proper STB side by side?
What I have tried is that, under identical testing conditions (e.g. same 32" TV, same reception environmnet and using the same HDMI input connecting through the same HDMI cable), I cannot spot any major difference in picuture quality when using:-
1.MTV3000;
2. Eight;
3. Imation; and
4. Internal Built-in Turner of the TV.
In terms of absolute standard, I agree that the picture quality of MTV should be the best as it supports 1080p upscaling.However, the strongest points of MTV are its user interface and firmware support.These really separate it from the competition.

We are talking about 24" or 32" TV here.The panel resolution of these small screen TVs (I mean in relative terms) are generally not 1080 lines.Typically, they only have 768 lines.Although they do accept 1080i or 1080p input, the panel resolution is definitely lower than the input signal resolution.Accordingly, the input signal will be "downgraded" to 768 in any event and that largely explain why the difference in picture quality is no apparent.
In your 40" case, I guess the panel resolution is already 1080 and I am not surprised that you find the difference rather significant.
